Boarding for your animals

Little Dolittle provides a boarding service for the following animals:

Guinea Pig

Price - £7.00 (for the first guinea pig) + £3.00 (for every additional guinea pig) per night.

Includes:

• Premium accommodation (secure, climate-controlled indoor space and fully insulated outdoor lodge)

• Unlimited fresh high-quality hay (for eating & bedding)

• Fresh diet, including fruit, vegetables and wild plants

• Free well-being check and nail trimming/foot spur removal during their stay

• Regular handling and interaction

• Access to safe and secure outdoor runs for grazing

• Additional grooming treatments available, including ear cleaning, boar cleaning (male), grease gland cleaning, bathing and haircut (starting at £2.00 per guinea pig)

• Indoor cages/C&C cages

• Outdoor runs

• Substrate (Megazorb or bath mats with lots of hay)

• Food bowls

• Water dispensers/bowls

Tortoise

Price - £8.00 (for the first tortoise) + £4.00 (for every additional tortoise) per night.

• Essential UV light and basking lamp with thermostatic control (monitoring temperatures and humidity)

• Fresh, species-appropriate substrate for every tortoise

• Fresh diet, including fruit, vegetables and wild plants

• Administration of all necessary supplements (Nutrobal and calcium powder)

• Free well-being check during their stay

• Access to safe and secure outdoor runs

• Expert hydration care with warm water baths

Price on application. Please note we are unable to board aquatic based amphibians.

Accommodation for boarding

Our purpose-built outdoor lodges offer premium, secure accommodation for your pets. Both lodges are fully insulated for year-round comfort and feature excellent ventilation and heating. For the warmer months, one lodge is also equipped with air conditioning. We also provide safe outdoor runs and spaces for supervised exploration. We also offer a dedicated, comfortable indoor space.​

 

Little Dolittle cannot be held liable for costs relating to damage to cages and animal enclosures, accessories (such as lighting, etc). If lighting or heating provided by the customer stops working then Little Dolittle will do its best to replace the item but the cost must be reimbursed by the owner on their return.

Security/webcams

Our premises (indoor and outdoor) are fully secure and are protected by CCTV. We can provide access to our webcams in our outdoor lodge so that you can view your pet(s) at any time during their stay with us.

Food

Little Dolittle will supply fresh water, hay, fruit, vegetables and plants but we ask customers to supply a sufficient quantity of their pet’s own dried/frozen/live food in order to avoid upset tummies. If Little Dolittle has to buy more dried/frozen/live food then this will be charged to the customer.

Keeping you updated

As part of the boarding and home visit service, we are happy to send you regular updates on your pet(s). We know they are a big part of your family and you miss them. We regularly share pictures/videos of the pets in our care on our social media pages and/or website. We ask all customers to let us know via our booking form if they would prefer that we do not share pictures/videos of their pets. We ensure that all of the pictures and videos we share do not serve to identify the owner/property. For your security, no photos/videos are shared on social media until after you have safely returned from your trip.

Booking

New customers are required to complete both a booking form and a pet registration form for their first stay. For all subsequent visits, returning customers must submit a new booking form; however, a new pet registration form is only necessary if your pet’s information has changed since their last visit. Please note that Little Dolittle operates a minimum stay of three nights. For new customers, we do request a non-returnable deposit of £20.00 to secure the booking.
